Community Organizations
Richland City Council meets the first Monday of every month.
Richland Community Club meets on the 1st Thursday of every month.
A strong community is defined by its citizens. A number of community service organizations exist for individual involvement, locally. It goes without saying that EVERYONE has been wronged or offended by someone or something at sometime through these activities. The only way to make a difference is to put it behind you and move forward with what you believe in. Consider how your involvement or ideas could make things better by staying on or returning to contribute.
It is no secret that most of the organizations are currently staffed by an older generation of citizens. These organizations do good things with the greatest of intentions. They will someday require the "torch" to be passed on to someone else, though. Turning everything upside down or inside out is rarely the answer. An influx of younger volunteers willing to understand how and why things are done a certain way might also then be able to assist enhancing causes that work now, but also adapt to the future.
The Richland Community Club, Richland Area Development Group, Richland Lion's Club, and the Richland Historical Society are eager to embrace new membership and improve the quality of life in your "hometown." Join in and contribute!
